Hosseinvand

Iranian-born artist Shirin Hosseinvand redefines the intersection of consumerism, cultural identity, and social critique through her thought-provoking sculptures made from Coca-Cola cans. A graduate of the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York, Hosseinvand uses her art as a critical lens to examine the impacts of industrialization and globalization.

Her work thoughtfully reflects how dominant global narratives—while fostering cultural exchange—can also erode local and distinctive identities. Sculptures fashioned from iconic symbols of consumer culture, such as soda cans, have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums across the United States.

In her first solo exhibition at Container Gallery, Hosseinvand invites viewers into a world where form and meaning are in constant dialogue with cultural memory and the pressures of modern life. The show becomes a space for rethinking aesthetic consumption and opens up new conversations about the world we inhabit.
